Fishing for Fun!

What kid wouldn't love a party in the park? Like any boy his age, birthday boy Macon loves "anything outdoors and boyish", so a fishing party seemed like the perfect fit.

Macon's fishing festivities were launched at Bass Lake Retreat Center in Holly Springs. Invitations were printed on natural paper and cut in the shape of a fish dangling from a mini-fishing rod. Guests had a ball throughout the day fishing from canoes on the lake, painting wooden fish cutouts and making fishing rods of their very own. The kid's tables were decorated with burlap cloths and fishing nets adorned with lures and bobbers. Hungry partygoers were filled to the gills after biting on little buckets of gummy-worms, bags of trail mix and ants on a log.

As the guests headed home, each child received an adorable tackle box filled with bobbers and lures, a decorated fishing hat and a cookie to remind them of their day of fin, oops, we mean fun!
