The Thrill of the Hunt

Nothing says Easter like an old-fashioned egg hunt. For a lucky group of the Lane family's friends this annual Easter celebration has quickly become a tradition. To the delight of everyone Briley and Greyson Lane, dressed in full Easter Bunny costumes, kicked off this Easter season's festivities by greeting each surprised child at the door.

As this year's extravaganza began, excited egg hunters entered an Easter wonderland decorated with fanciful paper flowers, butterflies, wreaths made of glitter eggs and pastel paper lanterns. Activity stations including: dancing around the maypole, tossing rings and creating Easter inspired play dough creations were enjoyed by the children before the much anticipated Easter egg hunt. As twenty-eight eager egg hunters anxiously waited for the starting signal, the gates were opened to a field ripe with 600 eggs filled with candy, stickers and tickets redeemable for a variety of Easter loot. After the egg hunt, each child took a turn swinging at a piñata filled with chocolate treats. After the piñata was dispatched the hosts brought out live baby chicks for the children to touch and cuddle.

Each guest table was highlighted in bright pink, lime green and turquoise accents. All of the tables were decorated with centerpieces consisting of monogrammed tin pails filled with wheat grass and Easter eggs. The ravenous egg hunters then made short work of deviled eggs, fruit-and-veggie snack trays, cotton candy filled ice cream cones and homemade marshmallow bunnies. As the happy guests left for home, each child received a pail or bonnet filled with chick-and-egg cookies, Easter Pez dispensers and egg-shaped popcorn balls.
