As in the words to the old Mother Goose rhyme, baby blue has always been associated with little boys. And that's where Angela Krause of dilly dally found her inspiration for this traditional nursery. Beginning with pale blue walls, Angela was influenced by the hand-embroidered bedding selected by mom-to-be, Janice Messier. "Janice fell in love with the bedding and from that we designed the custom artwork and coordinated the chair and furnishings," Angela explains.
Butter yellow accents on the furniture, like the custom painted wastebasket along with the accent colors in the chair, pillows and window seat cushion pull the darker colors from the bedding. These furnishings and accents will make it easy to transform the room into a big boy space. Custom cutouts were created to match the bedding and the shelf above the glider holds special items from the parents' childhood - stuffed animals and silver pieces that were passed down through the families from generation to generation.
The chandelier was accented with coordinating fabric – topping off this baby blue boy's room beautifully. "The nursery reminds me of my youth since I loved nursery rhymes." Janice says, "I'm delighted with the nursery-rhyme theme and I couldn't be happier!"
