When you think of babies, bubbles might not be one of the first things that pop into your head But Lynn Cummins would beg to differ as she bubbles over with joy when it comes to her baby's bubble inspired nursery.
To bring the bubble dream to life Angela Krause of dilly dally started with a modern crib and linens. She then incorporated polka dots and toile to soften the overall look of the room. She also helped Lynn choose a timeless crib and other furnishings to complete a nursery that will grow with baby. A local artist created the custom pink and chocolate brown bubbles that accent the room and center the bubble theme around the magnificent chandelier.
Lynn had the idea of adding stripes on the wall and instead of selecting two colors, chose a matte and a glaze to give the walls depth without seeming too busy. Highlighting sections of the polka dots made them look more like bubbles and turned out amazingly well against the tone on tone of the glazed, stripe wall.
Near the end of the project Angela and Lynn added a few extra accents that really gave it that extra something. "When I went out to her home to do the final placement of furniture and to tie up the loose ends, I took the rug on a whim and it really brought everything together." Angela explains. This nursery really is a splashing success!
