Baby Shower Locations
Bass Lake Retreat Center
Bass Lake Park and Retreat Center opened to the public on October 1, 2004. The lake’s dam had been badly damaged by Hurricane Fran in 1996. As a result of this damage, the Cornell estate sold the lake property to the Town of Holly Springs for the development of the park you see today.
The park features a visitor’s and environmental education center, a conference room, large deck, floating dock, free bank fishing, hiking trail and a wildlife observation platform.
Vivace Ristorante
Vivace offers one private dining room that accommodates up to twenty guests seated for lunch or dinner and twenty-five guests for standing receptions. Prifixe dinners, wine tastings, corporate meetings are all facilitated with grace and professionalism by our dedicated kitchen and dining room staff.

Haywood Hall
Haywood Hall is a short walk from Capitol Square and is modeled after the family seat in Edgecombe County. As one of the largest buildings in town, it accommodated John Haywood's keen sense of hospitality. The two great rooms flanking the spacious hall could easily receive the entire legislative body. The house became an unofficial meeting place for legislators and dignitaries visiting the capital. The Marquise de Lafayette was a guest of the Treasurer in 1825. Betsey John Haywood, John Haywood’s oldest child, acted as hostess and was proclaimed by the Marquis to be “the prettiest girl he had ever seen”.
