About Premier Baby & Child

Premier Baby and Child magazine is the Triangle's upscale magazine for parents. Packed with tips for parents of children ages zero to six, it's a stylish and glossy resource that inspires readers with fresh, fun articles and links them to the local services they need. Premier Baby & Child believes in the families and business of Triangle - that's why we interview real moms for our stories, put real Triangle kids in our fashion section, feature real local products and services and give you a glimpse into the Triangle's most beautiful children's rooms and nurseries. Premier Baby & Child magazine is a free, annual publication that is distributed through pediatricians, hospitals and OBs.

Robyn Mangrum, Owner/Publisher

Robyn has been in the publishing and advertising world since graduating from UNC-Wilmington in 1991. After working for a newspaper and several monthly magazines in the Washington DC area, she decided to start her own publication in her hometown of Raleigh, NC. She began with Premier Bride Magazine in 1995 and in 2002 she launched Weddings Magazine, a stylish, free resource for Triangle brides. That same year, the concept of a magazine for Triangle parents came to her mind. Since this is the next chapter in life after a wedding, it only made sense to have a smart and stylish resource for Moms and Dads in the Triangle. Robyn launched Premier Baby & Child's first issue in June of 2003.

Robyn's experience is gained not only from her advertising and marketing background, but from her two beautiful boys, Christian age 10 and Reed age 7. Having a family keeps the magazine close to her heart.

Stephanie DuBois, Creative Director

Stephanie is responsible for the look and feel of the Triangle's leading resource for parents. Her keen eye for detail and organization is what sets apart Premier Baby & Child from other parenting magazines. She has been designing Mangrum Publishing properties for more than nine years as well as the websites. Stephanie is recently married and has three 'children' of her own - her dog and two cats.

Maureen Powell, Account Executive and Distribution

Maureen came to Mangrum Publishing in July of 2006 with a marketing and sales background. Maureen had previously worked for Health Magazine in advertising and then later for the American Diabetes Foundation in fundraising. Maureen's understanding of partnering with small businesses to help them define their message and create advertisements has made her a valuable asset to Mangrum Publishing. Along with her sales, Maureen can also be found replenishing the magazines at OB's, local businesses, pediatricians, etc. Maureen's adorable baby boy, Ryan, was born in November 2007.

Walter Smith, Distribution Manager / Copy Editor

Getting our magazines delivered and replenished throughout each year is a priority to Walter. His friendly demeanor makes him a favorite at the OB offices and pediatricians when delivering the magazines. Walter is a retired technical writer for IBM with extensive experience in editing documents and manuals.

Ken Holmes, Distribution Representative

Personable and charming, Ken Holmes works with Premier Baby & Child part-time to ensure delivery and distribution of our magazines to our Cary, Chapel Hill and Wake Forest locations.
